Your Highness -es.

K♣: Adelaide, you’ll scare the children.
Wonderful! We’re delighted to have you join us, Mr. Edward and Mrs. Adelaide.
Q♣: Please, call me Addie, Oracle.
Addie and Eddie? That could get confusing.
K♣: Ed does it kid.
K♥: What’s with the Cloud- Ed?
K♣: You’re hilarious.
Your Highnesses you’ll have to excuse us briefly. We were in the middle of something, but as soon as we’re done- ready to brunch.
Q♣: Where’s our other lady?
K♥: First you ruin the weather-
K♣: Please don’t mind us. We’ll sit down over by that other tree, let us know when you’re done. Join us for a beer Lar?
K♥: You think you can fool me? With beer? Alright then.
Q♣: Ed darling the Snake is hungry.
Larry! Go play with your friends (now!)
K♥: Okay we take the cloud with us. Don’t miss me okay.
Good, now where were we? Ah yes. Questions for our beloved green host.
Tree does he love me?
(Real card draw)
The Tree has spoken! You cut the flower and ask does he love me? The King of Spades can cut again. The beauty of it is you cut, then something else grows, keep cutting, keep asking, it’s all the same, he loves you and he loves you not. Sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. There’s the beauty. (and that beauty can cut too).
Kings and Queen! We’re ready! Let’s brunch. Watch your step.
K♥: Yes yes, we’ll be young forever! Good idea, but where is food?
Q♣: What do you take us for?
K♥: Freaks of nature. Witches!
K♣: Precisely. See this golden staff?
If the sorcerers don’t go to the Square 6, well. As you now witness, players can fall on the Clouds, and these also fall on the players sometimes. You already know about the Clouds in the Game of Hope, they would take you four steps back to the Clover. The lesson there connects to the one here. While the Clover invites you to look everywhere, Clouds remind us of the unpredictable.
The stuff you just can’t see coming, and also the element of surprise. Both are essential where divination is concerned. The Clouds say “forget the predicting” as a good friend in England once said to me when prompted for tomorrow’s forecast. “There will be weather.”
On the subject of entering and leaving, which we covered on square four. It seems that just as there is an ‘into the woods’ and ‘out of the woods’ in forest metaphors, something similar applies to Clouds, but these instead become the subject that enters or leaves.
It goes: Becoming clouded is bad and clouds clearing is a good thing. Of course, as we never tire of repeating, nothing is good or bad but your mad reading skills make it so. This effect when covered in common Lenormand lit, has the Clouds as covering or damaging anything near it. This may be the case, as long as you’ve got our whole shape-shifting thing down.
Philippe Lenormand sympathised with the notion that Clouds are not only bad.
Clouds, if their clear side is turned towards the Person, are a fortunate sign; with the dark side turned to the person, something unpleasant will soon happen.
Although the timeline runs the opposite way, the Coffee cards actually expand on this. (cough)
“Just as the Clouds are dispelled, so let your anger vanish; then you will soon be superior to all vexations.”
The Clouds, if they be more light than dark, you may expect a good result from your hopes; but if they be black, you may give it up. Surrounded with dots, they imply success in trade, and in all your undertakings; but the brighter they are, the greater will be your happiness.
About that first part. Hold that thought, in fact, inscribe it somewhere. “Just as the clouds are dispelled…” good stuff to remember. Clouds, despite their bad Lenormand rep, are gaseous fluff that condenses and disperses equally.
Remember: movement, vision, where the wind blows (aka invisible forces), in and out, connection and now unpredictability. When the Clouds appear they can speak of something we cannot foretell and also rain all over the other cards, but you know the recipe for rainbows. Observation through the question lens will offer you clarity where Clouds hang about, but don’t forget to “be superior to all vexations.” Looking at the cards requires all your notions to vanish momentarily, as you simply look, accept the unpredictable and allow yourself to be surprised.
K♥: How much longer do you need? Because my leg is getting cramp from standing. And it’s raining food.
What didn’t you notice? How’s that for unpredictable. Worked for the Bible people, and if it can rain frogs and men, well, what are you waiting for, go ahead. Grab something.
Q♣: Larry can you take care of the refreshments dear?
K♥: Draft or bottle?
Q♣: Alright then I’ll get dessert.
I’ve got a little something too. Our good friend Rider taught me a song once, he would sing it way better than this recording I have on file, although it’s lovely too. It goes a little something like (snap).
Snap Radio. Oooh are those Jaffa Cakes!?
